Intel Graphic Driver Version: 25.20.100.6444 Released - What's New and How to Install It

Intel is no longer offering their standard IGP graphics drivers, they have changed their driver policy towards a new Universal Drivers architecture starting with Windows 10 October 2018 Update. This represents a shift in all Intel Graphics Drivers.

Intel Graphic Driver Version: 25.20.100.6444 Released

These new drivers labeled as either UWD (Universal Windows Driver) or Windows Modern graphics drivers are not backward compatible with our previous graphics drivers that we're now labeling Legacy. This means if later you want to revert to a Legacy driver you will need to uninstall the driver via Windows Apps and Features and reboot the system before installing a Legacy driver. Failure to do so may result in minor to catastrophic issues on your system as well as system instability.

If you want to check if Intel DCH drivers have been installed on your device, you can open Device Manager, expand the Display Adapter branch and right-click on display adapter to find out the version number. If the driver version is higher than 25.20.100.6444, then your PC is using the DCH Drivers.

Hello, I recently purchased G7 7588. I noticed that the screen looks much more dark than normal dark color and a bit yellowish. And I found that might be the problem about the intel uhd 630 driver ''lock'' the bit depth in 6 bit.

After doing some research, intel should have fixed this bug in the driver version 25.20.100.6444 according to the release note ''Windows Advanced Display Settings may show incorrect bit-depth on some primary monitors which leads to inaccurate colors.'' However, as a dell user, only the customized driver can be installed.

UWD is designed to replace Intel's previous graphics drivers, which are now Legacy status. However, special care is required to ensure a proper installation. Intel warns users not to use the INF or Have-Disk method with the UWD because it bypasses the specially designed installer, which could lead to minor to major system instability. For now, Intel won't be providing a ZIP file for the UWD while users are transitioning to the new driver.

The Intel Graphics Driver 25.20.100.6444 is the first driver to come in UWD format and brings several improvements to the table. The driver is only compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows 10 with the Fall Creators Update or newer and with Intel 6th generation (Skylake) and newer processors.

The 25.20.100.6444 driver helps reduce memory consumption when using the OpenGL graphics API, improve battery life when using Display Refresh Rate Switching (DRRS) on supported monitors and improve stability for the Vulkan driver.

Intel has announced big changes to its releases of graphics drivers, introducing a new kind of driver specifically aimed at Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019, optimized for UWP. These drivers, referred to as Windows Modern Drivers or Universal Windows Drivers (UWD), are required by Microsoft as of the October 2018 Update for Windows 10. You can read more about UWDs here, and Intel has also published an FAQ page about the new drivers.

To start things off, Intel is releasing version 25.20.100.6444 of its graphics driver suite, which is a UWD and is only available for the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and later. It's also only available in a 64-bit flavor. Aside from the transition to the new driver model, it includes launch support for Artifact and Farming Simulator 2019, and also adds support for the following titles:

Recently, Intel is decided to make big improvements since it will release the Intel graphics driver, also called Intel Windows modern driver. And the Intel Windows modern driver especially aims at Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019, optimized for UWP.

Intel is releasing Intel graphics driver of the version 25.20.100.6444 which is a UWD and only available for Windows 10 October 2018 Update or later. And there some changes to the new Intel Windows modern driver, such as:

In conclusion, this post has introduced that Intel is designed to release the Intel Windows modern driver which will be used to Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019 or later. And the great improvements have been made on Intel graphic drivers which can bring better performance in particular for those game users. Before updating to Intel graphics driver, you had better use the professional Windows backup software to back up all your important files.

Intel has published a new graphics driver for its GPUs (Intel 6th, 7th and 8th Gen processors) on Windows 10. This new driver (version 25.20.100.6373) is the Football Manager 2019 launch driver:

It's that buggy intel graphics driver, not the viewer as such or your computer.I presume the bug only affects the 64bit Intel graphics driver, not the 32bit driver, which is why 32bit viewers are not affected. I could be wrong though.

The fact that adding a full body alpha layer to the avatar fixes this issue suggests that it's actually an LL issue with how their software interacts with the different Intel graphics card hardware. Perhaps LL should be looking into what recent features they've released that would cause such a problem.

To meet with the new requirements, Intel is making available new drivers for its graphics adapters, known as "Windows DCH Drivers" (or "Windows Modern Drivers"), which can run on the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) editions of Windows 10, and they are meant to replace the old Intel Graphics drivers (now referred as "legacy").

However, there are a few caveats, including the modern drivers are only available for a select number of graphics cards. They're not backward compatible, which means that you can't rollback to the legacy drivers after the upgrade (at least it's not recommended), and if you don't install them correctly, it can lead to stability problems.

On Windows 10, there are two ways to install the new modern drivers for your graphics card. You can use the Intel Driver and Support Assistant (iDSA) tool, or you can download the package directly to install the graphics driver manually. 2ff7e9595c
